How to read Big Five scores safely

A score is a starting point for observation and conversation, not a verdict.

Key idea

Read all five scores together. The same level on one trait may look different when combined with another trait or a different environment.

Try it in practice

This site’s 0–100 value is an internal conversion used to explain responses, not a population percentile. Do not dramatize a few points near a band boundary.

Use with care

Consider your current roles, sleep, stress, language, and circumstances. Ask when the description fit and when it did not; the result is a hypothesis to observe.

Takeaway

If you retest, use the same version after a meaningful interval and record behavior and context alongside the numbers.
